IGE's Profile
_MG_3893 Dupe Ige Kachi, who is popularly called IGE (pronounced ee-gay) is multitalented. She studied electrical/electronics engineering at the University of Lagos, the arts have been a part of her everyday life. She has acted in a number of stage plays, and graced a number of concert stages like the Calabar Carnival 2005-2007, TOTAL 50th anniversary celebrations, “The Experience”, P.D.P Presidential rally dinner 2007, Celtel Brand Unveil, “The Platform”, Nigeria Stock Exchange Awards, The African-American concert and several MUSON classical concerts. She was an active member of the defunct neo-africanist theatre group called Rhythm of the Black Man, and she was one of the main actors in a stage play called WHAT THE STEWARD SAW. She is also the sole presenter/host of a forth-coming musical magazine T.V programme called GROOVE CHECK. She has written and performed several MTN jingles and songs and is a proud holder of MUSON certificates in voice, piano and theory of music, and was the vocal coach of the MTN PROJECT FAME WEST AFRICA SEASONS 2 and 3. She has worked with a number of artistes like Sammy Okposo, Provabs, JC Qrew, Cobhams, Yinka Davis, Rhymzo and Sunny Neji, just to mention a few

 

Seun Owoaje Profile
A pianist/composer by profession, ‘Seun holds B.A. Music, Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U) and M.A. Music, University of Lagos degrees. He presently lectures in music at O.A.U, while also running a music consultancy firm known as Centre Techniques in Lagos. Writer of several standard instrumental, vocal, and orchestral works which have been severally performed here in Nigeria and abroad. Seun has served in various other capacities as music and productions consultant for organisations and events.
In 2003, he was music Score [Orchestration] Consultant at the All Africa Games [COJA] event, held in Abuja In November/December 2006, he was Music consultant to the Cross River State Government at ‘Creative Academii’ reality television show, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. In 2007, he was music consultant at Davidhouse multi media’s presentation of Femi Osofisan’s ‘Midnight Blackout’ play. In the last Lagos Carnival, Seun Consulted for Lagos State by doing a piano performance of his own arrangement of ‘Ise Oluwa’ and other pieces, in sync with a fireworks display.
He is the visioneer and organizer of the periodical home concert/discussion series ‘The Joy of Music’.
